Branch 28, Area 21


Branch 28 meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Elks Lodge BPOE 1285, 150 Mar Vista Drive, Monterey, California. The Officers and Committeemen and other interested parties meet at 10:15 a.m. to conduct the business of the Branch. Members start gathering at 11:00 a.m. for a social hour before the 12:00 noon luncheon.

Branch 28 of the SIR organization allows each of us to participate in various activities, be as active as each of us wants, develop new associations and still be with old friends and be able to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow members. The primary purpose of SIR is to have fun. At Branch 28 members can participate in Bridge, Golf, Tennis, a Computer Group, and various ad hoc activities such as trips to sporting events, cruises, and other recreational activities.

Sons in Retiremen (SIR) is a nonprofit public benefit corporation for retired men. It is devoted to the promotion of independence and dignity of retirement. SIR's purpose is to assist men in renewing former friendships and provide opportunities to make new friends througth assciation with other retirees. The SIR organization exists strictly for the enjoyment and dignity of retired men.
