Living in peace and trust in the love of God

There is more than one way to live in peace

Some readers of "Christianity..." have asked me if I live in peace and if I am sure of my salvation. Most traditional believers think that "their way" is the only way to have peace and expect salvation. They are dead wrong. They haven't realized that God has countless ways and means to give internal peace and salvation when he wants. The key words in this matter are: the will of God.

Coming now to the above questions, whether I live in peace; the answer is: very much so. To the second question, whether I am sure of my salvation; the answer is that I qualified my concept of salvation.

I think and believe that salvation, to share the life of God after death, is, always, for Christians and for non-Christians, a free gift of God; that is, that God is always free, and does not have any obligation of sharing his divine, internal life with anybody. When he does, it is by his free will.

We may hope, and believe, and expect that God will do that for us, but this does not change the fact that God is always free, and he will or will not do, according to his will.

Salvation presupposes a new creation; is to create us anew, ex nihilo, from nothing; it is to give a new being to our "ego;" and God has no obligation of creating new beings. That is why the "resurrection of Jesus" was a big miracle, because God created and gave to him, to his "ego," a new being, incorporeal, and he lives forever. This doesn't have anything to do with the body which was buried in the tomb.

The same miracle must be done in us, if we are going to be saved.
