The Paradox of Eternity-Time
We may not know who or how God is, but we
may know that he is. For an elucidation of the questions raised in this

Danger of excessive speculation. There is a serious danger of losing the focus, and that the human
mind may be distracted with speculations regarding God, trying to decipher the
impossible, and forget the fundamental
point which is: God is! and that is his glory.
It is normal that
questions, pressures and anguishes increase, when the mind gets to know the
Being of God better, according to the saying of Ecclesiastes, He who increases knowledge increases sorrow
(Ecl 1.18).
Independently of
what friends and foes of New Age religion, or others, say regarding the
"identification" of God with creation, the fact is that the Being of
God is in everything that exists or
might exist, and the existence of everything that exists is Being of God.
It is a wonderful
and surprising happening that the Being of God is "within" us and in
the whole creation. It is not fantasy, fiction; it is a fact. It can not be
otherwise: God in everything!
Rational attitude. It is not
reasonable for the human mind to inquire about God beyond the limits where it
may go. God is, per se, an
incomprehensible Being that begins where the human mind is not able to come. No one knows the things of God except the
Spirit of God (1 Cor 2.11). Intending to
understand God, or what belongs to God, completely, is an absurdity.
It would be
therefore an illusion to expect to have satisfactory answers to everything
related to the Being of God. It is a fact that there are not certain, demonstrable
answers to many questions of our mind; and the most we can do is to accept
presuppositions, theories or hypothesis that are to some extent
"reasonable," and live with them.
That is why some
people have asked themselves if everything is an illusion, since there are not
proofs about God, and what we have are presuppositions. Nothing is
demonstrable. The same happens in the physical world: there are very many
phenomena about which there are only theories that are not demonstrable either.
However, it is also
"a fact" that we may experience the Being of God.
