Scientific Enterprises was born in 1987, but its conception dates back to the mid-1970's when a fellow Moss Landing Marine Lab student and dear friend, David Shonman, asked me to help him with a tidepooling field trip he was conducting for a local school group. That experience was a beginning... the first real chance to inspire in others the awe and wonder I have always felt toward our natural world and its treasures. I was hooked! During the next eighteen years, I have participated in, and personally conducted hundreds of educational programs, field trips, and seminars. Since 1987, I have worked to develop a variety of related programs, dealing with subjects which have always interested me and included, among others, Natural History, Coastal Geology, Cosmology, Astronomy, Origins of Life, Physics, and Critical Thinking. |
